Convocation à l'assemblée générale
de LiLux a.s.b.l.

Chers membres,
Conformément aux statuts, je vous convie à l'assemblée générale de LiLux
a.s.b.l. qui aura lieu ce 31 mars 2009 au Luxembourg.
Tous les points prévus par les statuts seront couverts, ainsi que le
choix d'un éventuel nouveau lieu pour les réunion, en complément ou en
remplacement de notre local habituel.
En effet, pour le moment, notre lieu de réunion (LGL à Luxembourg) n'est
toujours pas disponible. L'assemblée générale aura donc lieu en lieu
encore à déterminer, qui vous sera transmis par e-mail, mais qui ne
pourra pas être en dehors du Grand-duché.
Les pistes pour ce nouveau local sont les suivantes:

Un local au centre sociétaire de Cent (non muni d'ordinateurs ni
d'accès Internet)
*
Un local proposé par notre secrétaire actuel, situé à Pétange, non
muni d'ordinateurs
*
Un local prêté par une école (éventuellement le LGL), en vertu
d'un accord encore à obtenir de la part du ministère de l'éducation
*
Une salle de cinéma du groupe Caramba (située à Esch ou
Rumelange), sans que cette situation ne puisse être
automatiquement permanente
Je profite de l'occasion pour vous demander de veiller à être en règle
de cotisation (aussi bien pour 2008 que pour 2009), afin d'être
considéré lors de cette A.G. comme membre de plein droit de LiLux
a.s.b.l. et donc d'avoir accès au vote. Je vous prie particulièrement de
vous munir d'une preuve de payement.
Les candidatures à des groupes de travail ou à des postes au sein du
comité sont les bienvenues. Je suis toujours disponible 24h/24 au numéro
du club, 20.20.29.00 pour tout renseignement ou dépôt de candidature.
Je vous signale que nous avons déjà un candidat au poste de trésorier
(M. Arnaud Gay), le trésorier actuel ayant manifesté son souhait d'être
remplacé si possible.
Merci de bien vouloir transmettre cette convocation à tout membre qui
pourrait ne pas l'avoir reçue, ou a toute personne intéressée par notre
association.
Si vous avez la possibilité d'obtenir un local pour cette assemblée
générale, de préférence à titre gratuit, de préférence à
Luxembourg-ville, je suis demandeur.

Last week the hard disk of my PC crashed. After it has been formatted, I realized that not all data

Hello,
My laptop just died (RIP) (it never worked correctly anyways) so I
decide I could (try to) buy another one but it has to be without OS or
with linux (Ubuntu) but absolutely without Win.
So I went to a shop where I know they sell desktop bare and asked ...
and they told me ALL the laptops are delivered to them with Win
pre-installed.
So I asked if it was possible to remove Win out and ask for the refund
to either them or Microsoft and they told me : noway (looking at me as
if I came out of outer space).
Is one of you knowing where I could get a sample of this strange beast
cause I need one for yesterday ;-) and ordering one over the net will
make me wait.

I use Kubuntu 7.10 with KDE 3.5.8.
I want to change some file association, i.e. that avi files are opened
with vlc instead of kaffeine.
I changed file associations in konqueror (Settings->configure
konqueror->file associations), but nothing happens if I click apply. It
does anything, but if I close the window, reopen it, all settings are
the old ones. Nothing that i configured last time changed.
So my question is: Is there another way to do it in Kubuntu or which
configuration file in .kde reflects the file associations?

Hi there! I've installed the latest release of kde4 on my Mandriva 2008
distro. But when I try to start kde4 from the login screen, I get the error
message: "Could not start kdeinit4. Check your installation". I've googled
around, but found nothing helpful on the net. Could someone please help me?
