Hi. I have here a new laptop with a broadcom BCM94311MCG wlan mini-PCI card.
The pci-ID is 14e4:4311.
I don't know, how to make it work. I installed ndiswrapper with the bcmwl5.inf
driver, but ndiswrapper -l shows:
bcmwl5 : invalid driver
bcmwl5 : driver installed
device (14E4:4311) present (alternate driver: bcm43xx)
It doesn't work. iwconwing finds no accesspoint.
Please help.

I have DVB-T at home, I use kaffeine for watching TV.
But I don't know, how to use EPG or videotext. When I choose EPG in
kaffeine, the window
always rests empty.
Are there other programs to extract EPG /videotext from a provider?
I don't know much about this.

I installed compiz on kde on kubuntu feisty. I can get no cube, because I only
got 2 desktopsI When I right-click on a desktop to configure desktops, I can
increase the number of desktops, the number of desktops increases in thje
taskbar, but when I rotate the cube, it has only 2 desktops.
Even if I increase the number of virtual desktops in
CompizConfigSettingsManager (General Options->Desktop Size->Number of
Destops, it has no effect. The line is also written in blue, whereas the
other things are written in black. Does it mean something. I use a NVidia
Card with the proprietary driver for it.
Can someone help me, please.

mon PC est très malade depuis qq jours et j'ai fini par découvrir que
c'est un problème de RAM... (merci "memtest")
Oui, mais trouver de la DDR 333MHz en ce moment, c'est franchement pas
facile, et vu ma carte-mère (MSI KT3 Ultra2), je ne pense pas pouvoir
utiliser la PC400.
Alors si quelqu'un a encore 512MB ou mieux, 1GB de RAM en DDR 333MHz qui
n'est pas utilisée... je suis prenneur.

I have a problem installing kubuntu 7.04 on a Dell PowerEdge 2500. At a
certain point, the CD can't be read: readerrors and problems with
squashfs.
I googled for the problem, saw that I am not the only one having this
problem, but found no clue.

Hi.
I installed OpenOffice on my machine, but it has no icons in toolbars.
All is in text. I checked at: Tools>Customize>Toolbars>Toolbars>Icons&Text,
butr nothing changed.
In the help section, I've no icons either.
So I suppose a problem with the Icons installed, for some reason I don't know,
they simply don't install or Oo points to the wrong directory.
I use Kubuntu 7.04 on an x86 platform.
Please help.

Hi.
Konqueror produces thumbnails of images (photographs) you have in a directory.
I remarked, that it doesn't produce thumbnails of images greater than 5MB.
But I have images bigger as 5MB.
How can I change this limit?

I ran apt-get update followed by an apt-get upgrade. It answers with making
all found upgrades except one, where apt-get writes:

Why doesn't it do the update? An apt-get dist-upgrade solves the 'problem'.
