Hi,
You have my warmest understanding for disliking Notes, as well as for not
wanting to learn it more than necessary. Isn't there someone in our
organisation owing you a few lines of code? :)
Actually, I remember vaguely that you can also write Notes-connecting Java
applications...that either connect to the Notes server as a Notes client
does, or simply "connect" to a nsf file. You would only need the Notes
libs (I suppose that's not an issue)... Obviously that doesn't solve the
problem of who is writing the code...:)
Best,
Gilles

Hi Gilles,
thanks for your input!

Well... the "why not" is actually a lack of any Notes programming
knowledge
whatsoever, at least for me ;-) and there's no wish to acquire such
either.
Add to this that the availability of a Notes Client is not necessarily
given.
Ideally, some converter would just take a .nsf file for input and spit out
an mbox file, totally bypassing Notes.
I did find a perl module - windows only unfortunately - that might do the
trick.
BTW, this might be the quickest approach for _any_
export from
Notes...as
soon as you have no view complete enough for File
-> Export. And
"structured text" export plus some text-file hacking might also do the
job.
The File -> Export does export the emails to mbox, but without
attachments...
Greetings, Eric (with no love whatsoever for Notes)
