Hi again,
- Linux Networking (or whatever the name will be)
Here the goal is to teach everything concerning basic connectivity,
from ifconfig to routing to packet filters, QoS, VLANs and VPNs.
The course will be half a day, i.e. 2x 1h30min, according to
the current schedule it would be on January 25th in the afternoon.
We as yet lack volunteers for organizing this course, except for
Alain Rassel who's agreed to do the VPN part.
Unfortunately, so far nobody has indicated interest in this.
C'mon, I'm certain some of you are perfectly qualified for
networking stuff :-)
So, we absolutely need to find out who will help out
with the
networking course, both groups will need to sit together and
write up the title, abstracts for the courses, and provide these
to me in time so I can provide them on friday morning.
I'm meeting tonight with Jule for writing up the abstracts for
the basic course.
I'd propose a meeting for the networking course for tomorrow
evening (which is the last chance to get this done properly, as
I need the stuff for friday morning). I guess Thierry will want
to participate, I hope others will show interest too.
Thierry, any proposal for place and time?
Alain [Rassel], could you also please inform me about whether
you'll do OpenVPN or IPSec? - it's your choice.
So, please, volunteers, step up and tell us how you
can help us
get this done! Thanks in advance,
So please, you know you can do this, it's an enriching experience,
please help out!
Greetings, Eric
