Hi, in case you're encountering DHCP problems with Knoppix, this may be due to poor interaction between Knoppix's "pump" and a combination of Cisco DHCP Proxy / MS-Windows-based DHCP server (can't trace it more precisely than that right now). All is well if you use dhclient or dhcpcd (both of which not included with Knoppix) instead of pump - transfer the Debian testing dhcp-client debian package to the Knoppix machine and install it using dpkg, that'll do the trick. The problem was noticed & solved while setting up a Knoppix demo PC. Greetings, Eric
