I have to repeat the ifup thingie several times,
after I am connected.
I haven't identified such behavior myself (same ISP). There was an
issue yesterday evening though, my first connection attempt failed,
I had to "/etc/init.d/ppp restart" to get it running. Since that
worked, I didn't even bother checking the logs for what happend
the first time around (connection incl. IPs was shown, but I
couldn't ping the peer).
My ISP is the luxemburgish P&T
Sometimes, I have name resolution problems too, but they aren't as bad.
Never had DNS trouble, unless I didn't get farther than the DSLAM
- but that's a routing issue (happened a loooong time ago).
Does anybody have similar problems??
Or an explanation for this "surnatural happening" :-)
Maybe someone on the inside? ;-)
Greetings, Eric
