Actually, I remember vaguely that you can also write
Notes-connecting Java
applications...that either connect to the Notes server as a Notes client
does, or simply "connect" to a nsf file. You would only need the Notes
libs (I suppose that's not an issue)... Obviously that doesn't solve the
problem of who is writing the code...:)
Hmmm... guess I'll have a chat with one of the colleagues from the team
here, he's already done some Notes stuff... if he can whip sth. up with
no real trouble...
Anyway, the issue was more or less a one-off issue for me (that pesky
distinction between "archive now" and "archive selected documents" -
at
least my mailbox is back down to a comparatively small size), so I won't
press it too much.
Of course, many people have to suffer Notes, so there might indeed be
some use for a nice solution...
