Hey
You may remember my Mini-Howto for using the luxtrust stick on a 32bit
Gentoo System (available here:
http://c3l.lu/wiki/index.php/Luxtrust)
Now this guy would like to run it on his 64bit system. I'm certain he
won't be able to get the sourcecode, as it is proprietary; but I'm
clueless about using 32bit libraries on 64bit systems.
Can someone enlighten me on this or give me a direction where to look?
Thanks,
D.
For some reason, Lustrust doesn't make a 64 bit middleware available.
Last year we tried to convince them to recompile it for 64 bits, we had
a meeting together in January 2009, at which they gave us the following
info:
1. They were not in possession of the source, so they would have to rely
on Gemalto to get a 64 bit version.
2. They'd do their best to convince Gemalto to supply such a version.
A couple of months later (in May), we did indeed receive a commercial
offer for the "development" (really, just a recompilation...) of a 64bit
middleware...
... but the price tag was somewhat steep: 58140€ !
This is way beyond the financial means of our LUG, so we answered (in
June) asking them whether they couldn't make an offer for a more
reasonable price.
That mail is still unanswered...
