... which could be debatable. Some say a Debian unstable is more
stable than many other distribution's release version.
I've had trouble myself with unstable, which is why I'm staying
away from it.
I do use stable on a number of production machines, except for
those few running RedHat - which only run RedHat as they are used
for commercial software only certified for that platform.
I wouldn't like stable on the desktop though, as the packages are
relatively old - that's why I use testing there - it's very recent
stuff, sufficiently stable, and the world won't die if the desktop
system goes down the drain in the unlikely event that some serious
bug remains (and it won't, at least if you don't start mixing in
too many strange apt sources).
