hi,
if you want native compatibility, and want some 54g nic, get one with
a prism chipset.
netgaer or dlink are very good.
(i got a netgear pcmcia + ap)
check this link:
http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Wireless.html
and see here for a compatibility list + what card has what chipset:
http://www.linux-wlan.org/docs/wlan_adapters.html.gz
very good to know!
also check out:
www.linuxant.org
linuxant is a (commercial ~20€) kernel module (2.4 2.6) which allows
you to load a windows driver for you card.
work pretty well and isn't that expensive.
I've read about that, but I prefer to stay with what's in the kernel.
Anyway, it's an interesting concept.
feel free to ask if you have any more questions....or
maybe somebody
else has some more additions ?
Will go to belle-étoile tomorrow, I remember they had some choice in
wireless nics. Let's see if they have one from the list above.
Thanks and have a nice evening!
btw, for me
www.norm.lu does not load in konqueror 3.1.5. Flash works on
other sites for me in konq however. In firefox it works without
problems.
