I'm having a similar problem with Dapper. My problem is with a laptop.
If I power up with the power cable plugged in and the 100MBPS ethernet
card unplugged, my wireless card shows up as eth1. However, if I powerup
on battery or have my wired ethernet card connected, my wireless comes up
on eth2.
I have one of the lovely Broadcom cards (Dell 1350 miniPCI) and Dapper
uses the new BCM43xx module. I do not have this problem if I use
ndiswrapper.
Any thoughts?
