Hi
I have a problem installing kubuntu 7.04 on a Dell PowerEdge 2500. At
a certain point, the CD can't be read: readerrors and problems with
squashfs.
I googled for the problem, saw that I am not the only one having this
problem, but found no clue.
Perhaps, someone of you gets a clue

Maybe a bad CD?
Definitively no, ecause CD works fine in other computers.
Thank you anyway.
Al
I've had cases where both CD and drive were "marginal".
The CD would work in other drives.
The drive would read other CDs.
But *that* drive with *that* CD would not work.
The thing is, drive's lasers lose power over time, due to various reasons.
After a while the drive may still be able to read "perfect" CD's, but no
longer CD's that are "slightly" bad. Even if those same CDs pass in other
drives. Nasty stuff.
I've got a gutsy CD like that, that works perfectly with my computers at
home, but that has issues in some other drives (such as our machines on
Linuxfest)
