Just read this and thought you might be interested. In about:config, - Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" - Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" - Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 20. This means it will make 20 requests at once (although I also read than 8 was the max). - Right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. On my Mozilla 1.7.8 with an ADSL line, the differences are noticable.
