I use Kubuntu 7.10 with KDE 3.5.8.
I want to change some file association, i.e. that avi files are opened
with vlc instead of kaffeine.
I changed file associations in konqueror (Settings->configure
konqueror->file associations), but nothing happens if I click apply. It
does anything, but if I close the window, reopen it, all settings are
the old ones. Nothing that i configured last time changed.
So my question is: Is there another way to do it in Kubuntu or which
configuration file in .kde reflects the file associations?
Hello,
have yout tried running Konqueror from the console? You will probably see an
error message (on the console) stating that the program couldn't write to
some file due to access permissions. Just a guess.
