I just wanted to ask whether a date for the 2004

to contain the date of the final event?
There will be a business event at this year's SI Expo:
http://www.siexpo.lu/en/cpage.asp?p=24
(LinuxDays is mentioned there) - this will be something for
the ties/PHBs.
And the (for us) more interesting part will take place later
than usual, probably in february 2005 - mostly tutorials and
hands-on presentations (i.e. very practical stuff).
Small "villages" with different themes are an idea being
discussed, replacing the expo.
The reason for the change of concept is the very low visitors
number last year (for the presentations parts anyway - the
tutorials were well visited), and the wish of the organizers
to have more practical / directly useful & interesting stuff
there.
The reason for the date is financing - we started late with
organization, it was too late to get a budget in for this
year. February it will be because of the availability of
classrooms @IST (uh, sorry, that's Campus Kirchberg of the
Université de Luxembourg now).
The next LinuxDays meeting will take place this friday
afternoon 15:30-17:00 at the CRPHT (it's only the second as
yet for this year). I'll be there anyway representing LiLux,
with our usual offer of tutorials (where we need to change
contents, at least split stuff up into different tutorials)
and expo. If there's interesting news, I'll of course report
on it.
I hope that's all +- correct, put this way...
