I have installed it a few days ago and am currently working through the
documentation. It was the only way to get in touch with one of the major
commercial distros; AFAIK there's no such rebuild of SLES.
I was somehow disappointed though (not by CentOS, but by Red Hat) - it
is little more than some carefully designed distro with good
documentation. No bells and whistles, the admin tools seem weeker than
those of a humble SuSE Linux, and no specific software to administrate
groups of machines. Either CentOS leaves them out, or Red Hat sells them
separately.
Nevertheless, it's very nice to see that Red Hat does nothing to stop
these clones. Their market is support and certification anyway, and
CentOS is probably a nice way to show their product off.
