Where did you get the "soon" from? There's been talk about this
for ages, but the *รง%&/ thing still isn't available, and AFAIK
Intel didn't say anything about a date when it should become
available. Oh well, now that 11 Mbit/s WiFi is almost dead,
they won't see a "need to keep it secret" any more.
Yes, you can use the commercial Linuxant thing, or the free
ndisloader, along with the Windows drivers, but that's a kludge.
intel announced a week ago or two that they will be releasing linux drivers
really soon. some more time ago their plans were to release firt bin-only
drivers and later the source.
i dunno if that has changed now.
anyway.... i dont like centrino, i need horse power rorrr rooorr rorr :-D
