I might have missed some points here. Serge, are you running SuSE
Linux 9.2 ?
Firefox & Thunderbird are packaged on the distribution CDs of SuSE 9.2
as RPMs and install right well, so why a ".TGZ" ?
Maybe you are running SuSE 9.1, so why not upgrade ? Or maybe not
SuSE, so I misunderstood.
I'm presently still using an updated SuSE 9.0, I updated it to 9.1 (I
believe) but haven't taken the time to locate some 9.2 CD/DVD to (re)
install...
I don't feel like going through a full back up and reinstall presently.
(Feels like I'll wait for SuSE 10 before that :-} )
