If I'm not wrong, Lotus Notes should offer IMAP
service as well. In this
case, just connect to your Lotus Notes server through IMAP at the same
time as an another (Linux based) IMAP server using mbox storage
structure, and do a drag and drop between the two accounts, using
Mozilla ThundrrBird, as example.
Probably too easy. You should have thing about it before.
Actually, that's a very cumbersome solution that I was aware of and wanted
to avoid - but which I ended up using since I found no other solution.
I.e.: open the .nsf file in the Notes client, copy mails over to the server
(that is, copy to a subdirectory of my normal mailbox), transfer them back
to the local machine via Thunderbird's IMAP, and Thunderbird uses mbox for
its folders.
In my case, that was possible as I have IMAP active for my account - that
may not be true for everybody (as it's inactive by default).
A direct conversion possibility to mbox would be infinitly simpler...
Other question regarding Notes: how to export an address book to something
standard? I know Notes features LDAP connectivity, but in our case here
that's inactive and will remain so. What's standard for such data anyway?
Any ideas?
