Hi,
[Centrino & Linux]
intel announced a week ago or two that they will be
releasing linux drivers
really soon. some more time ago their plans were to release firt bin-only
drivers and later the source.
There were such reports from CNET, but I haven't found anything like
that at Intel so far - if anyone has a link...
What I did find is sth. at pro-linux.de (incl. link to CNET) at [1],
and the info pages at Intel [2] [3], which don't mention any dates.
IIRC a discussion on SlashDot, the inclusion of ndiswrapper (or the
Linuxant driverloader, can't remember) by Lindows might trigger a
response by Intel, but we'll see...
I don't know what to think about the CNET article, I'd like to
believe (no, I'm not Fox Moulder), sure, but... this announcement
was made ages ago, with nothing to show.
I'll certainly try again with current kernel & ndiswrapper, for now.
