Install as root into a place that's in the
normal PATH, or else add
the path to mozilla-firefox to your $PATH (/etc/profile).
Or to make your life easier, install a package that's ready-made
for your distribution.
Haven't seen any rpm at all, all I've seen is the tgz.

I might have missed some points here. Serge, are you running SuSE Linux
9.2 ?
Firefox & Thunderbird are packaged on the distribution CDs of SuSE 9.2
as RPMs and install right well, so why a ".TGZ" ?
Maybe you are running SuSE 9.1, so why not upgrade ? Or maybe not SuSE,
so I misunderstood.
