Hi Al,
A friend of mine got a modem, a winmodem. He is
looking for drivers, but
couldn't find anything.
lspci outputs:
02:0e.0 Comunication Controller: ESS Technology ES2898
Modem Rev03
02:0e.0 Class 0780: 125d:2898 (rev03)
Has anybody an idea???
First google - search for "linux es2898".
Second, have a look at www.linmodems.org - they have a "scanModem" tool,
which can help search for a driver.
No time right now for a deeper search... hth anyway.
