Let's be honest: No Linux distro is suited for

preinstalled Linux PCs might be an answer, especially because Linux

maybe the main problem is that no operating system is suited to be used
without a qualified sysadmin. at least the ones commonly used on pc's. i
guess what most people would be glad to use is a playstation-like pc.
just enter a cd labelled "word processing", push the "on" button and
type away. neither windows nor any linux distribution are really suited
for the average john doe. he doesn't want to waste his time installing
drivers, configuring firewalls, etc.. when he could play soccer with
his kids. the kids rather wanting to play with their playstation than
with their dad is a different matter ;)
