Well... the "why not" is actually a lack of any Notes programming knowledge
whatsoever, at least for me ;-) and there's no wish to acquire such either.
Add to this that the availability of a Notes Client is not necessarily given.
Ideally, some converter would just take a .nsf file for input and spit out
an mbox file, totally bypassing Notes.
I did find a perl module - windows only unfortunately - that might do the
trick.
BTW, this might be the quickest approach for _any_
export from Notes...as
soon as you have no view complete enough for File -> Export. And
"structured text" export plus some text-file hacking might also do the
job.
The File -> Export does export the emails to mbox, but without attachments...
